Go here for a word picture of God's relationship with Israel. I read it and was shocked. Okay, not shocked perhaps, just oh .... I'm not sure what the right word is. An accurate portrayal in words I didn't expect that left me feeling... unsettled a bit.
God loved a people that had no reason to be loved. He cared for her, provided for her, watched over her and yet.... she turned. I won't give away the whole story so you'll have to go and read it for yourself.
