I Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Updated Blog Roll
So today while my boyo decided to sleep in, I thought I would update my blogroll.
I can't say I am all done with it, but it is good for now.
If I have listed you, let me know if there's any errors.
Please don't think I'm a wacko... ok, maybe I am -- but since you asked... I usually spell it all lower case except for Christ. Kind of to emphasize His importance. But it's not some huge deal...
BTW, I've been wondering how you came up with your blog's name?
Jen, no problems, I'd be happy to change that for you...whacky or not! :)
How did I come up with my blog name? Ooh...open a can of worms... :)
Got teased ALOT as a child. Peter and James went fishing with Annette (and all sorts of variations of that theme). In highschool I was "tin can" because of my then last name. I didn't enjoy the "social" aspect of schooling shall I say.
So ... as a somewhat more mature person putting those past hurts behind me I thought would be good SO... I chose FISH because we are called to be fishers of men (and i do love fishing...both in rod and hook as well as in evangelism) and the CANS so I could take the hurt off my previous life.
There...oh no... I revealed a hurt in my life to an almost perfect stranger... :) Life is good, God is WAY better. :) And that my blogging friend is a better way to live. :)
But this almost perfect stranger is in fact your sister in Christ and believe me -- I understand. I was called names you couldn't imagine in school. Kids can be quite cruel.
Funny thing is, I was just thinking about posting about that. I don't know...
Well Jen, if you do, I'll read it. :) I'll probably even comment on it. I find it interesting reading about the stories of others and how God used that experience to shape them.
