He's apparently left his wife and children and is living as a homosexual while proclaiming the name of Christ.
Oh but I am so saddened to hear this news. It does nothing for the cause of Christianity, and shows how easily deceived we can be.

Those were the words of Ray Boltz in an interview with the Washington Blade about his decision to engage in homosexuality. Boltz, a father of four who was married for 33 years before officially divorcing his wife this year, is well-known for his widely acclaimed songs "Thank You" and "I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb."I have to wonder....how can living against the word of God bring someone closer to him? That makes no sense.
Seems I will need to add Ray Boltz to my prayer list that he
1. receive some good teaching from a solid man of God
2. come back, or at least really turn to, the God of the Bible

Yes, I read this also. There are so many internationally visible Christian leaders and musicians living in utter rebellion of the Word of God. Many decades ago I realized homosexuality and heterosexuality have the same clear Word from God: no sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman. I have shared this with ministers and they cringe.
Yes, sexuality is God's gift, but that gift has boundaries God has clearly laid out. Defy those boundaries and there is a cost called sin. Jesus Christ and His Blood shed on the Cross is our propitiation for our sins. But to defy God's boundaries and repeatably in a lifestyle living against God's call will have expensive costs. I don't know how God deals with anyone who willfuly implies that their sin is o.k.....I have awe of God to the level I would never want to test Him.
Judging is not mine. But I do not want to listen to anyone preaching or worshipping who is this defiant. One worshipper that recently broke my heart with his choice to leave his family and children for a woman he "fell in love with" is Terry Macalmon.
After Bathsheba I never read of David going into a battle. Yes, he served as king, but he never had to the joy of triumphant in battle. Unless there is total turnaround and full repentance my observations show me that modern warriors back in battle either after similar falls.
The Bible tells us "except for the grace of God even the elect will be deceived." That verse keeps me from judging and I pray for the Ray Boltz's, Terry Macalmon, etc. I can only imagine when they "see" what they are doing.
