Took me a while to clue in. I felt very bad. He settled quickly once he got his beloved "tagu" back in his arms.

I am learning Baxter to be a little more disciplined with my boy. Hard though...those tears and cried just melt my heart. yes, I know...be strong. Imitate God and I'll be just fine.... really... yes, I'm learning. :)Annettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07731853888897956775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11407972.post-55183556487400930402007-07-11T14:22:00.000-04:002007-07-11T14:22:00.000-04:00Thanks for sharing the birthday pics! Looks like ...Thanks for sharing the birthday pics! Looks like you had a great time.

And I think the temptation to spoil our children is in all of us mommies. But if you remember when you are tempted to cave in to your child’s (children’s) cravings that withholding discipline, correction and guidance is the LACK of love, not the presence of it, it’ll help you to follow through and be consistent. If done with peace and patience in your heart, you will have thankful, kind, sweet spirited children who are not demanding.

Give your boyo a birthday hug!

Heb 12:3 ¶ For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Heb 12:4 You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin;
Heb 12:5 and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons, "MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD, NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM;
Heb 12:6 FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES."
Heb 12:7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom {his} father does not discipline?
Heb 12:8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.
Heb 12:9 Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live?
Heb 12:10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He {disciplines us} for {our} good, so that we may share His holiness.
Heb 12:11 All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.Baxterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01765056126283077247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11407972.post-47082432879358733482007-07-10T22:39:00.000-04:002007-07-10T22:39:00.000-04:00Jen... good! :)We did have fun.I have to admit, I...Jen... good! :)

We did have fun.

I have to admit, I do find it hard not to spoil my lad...but I managed. I stuck to ONE thomas the train for his birthday (his now beloved Percy) Though with the fights over the shirt (no he can't wear it five days in a row) I'm thinking I'll have to get another one for him.....Annettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07731853888897956775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11407972.post-26603682476991231552007-07-10T19:33:00.000-04:002007-07-10T19:33:00.000-04:00I love that you share these things!
